Designed by architect Yoshihara Aihara in 1992, which in the same year, was the venue for the Johnnie Walker Classic. With fairways hemmed by tall tropical trees and lovely lakes, this course comprises of three nine hole sections each par 36. You would possibly play two of the three.

The “Lake Course” is particularly demanding because it incorporates a number of water hazards, especially on the 627-yard par five 8th hole. The “Forest Course” also called the “West Course” is filled with trees which are sure to challenge your golfing ability to read angles.

It runs a total of 3,422 yards and ends near the low resort-like clubhouse. The “Greenfield Course” is set in rolling hills which can be a challenge for chippers. At the clubhouse, there is a swimming pool, tennis courts, a sauna, a massage room, a snooker room and a restaurant for dining.

Rose Garden Golf Course ~ 4.1 Stars

Rose Garden Golf Course (map) is a magnificent 18-hole par 72 course situated west of Bangkok. It was designed by Visudh Junenanondh and opened in 1972 making it one of the oldest of its kind in Thailand.

The 7,085 yard Rose Garden Course owes its superb landscaping to its location within a resort cum recreational park renowned for its beautiful flower garden. The course sports fairly level terrain with obstacles provided by a few bunkers, hazards and doglegs.

The course is relatively easy for the front nine holes, but thereafter you will have to prove your mettle on the back nine holes because of the narrow tree-lined fairways, demanding greens and scenic lakes which are magnets for errant balls.

After your game, you can relax in the clubhouse where you are invited to use all the amenities. Also within the Rose Garden grounds is a daily traditional village cultural show where you can relax while watching both artists and elephants perform their special magic. Be aware there is a separate entrance fee for the shows.

Vintage Club Golf Course (map)is a beautiful 18-hole par 72 course situated forty-five minutes east of central Bangkok on the road to Pattaya. It was designed by Arthur Hills and Associates who took full advantage of the region’s rolling terrain. Here you’ll find long fairways, superb shaped greens and bunkers that run through coconut palms and bougainvillaea trees throughout its 6,579-yard course.

It is a rather demanding course that will only yield low scores if you make well-placed tee shots. The beautifully appointed clubhouse offers all its guests the use of the swimming pool, tennis courts, squash courts, Jacuzzi, a fitness centre and a snooker room as well as a restaurant serving some fine cuisine.

Lam Luk Ka Country Club ~ 4.3 Stars

Lam Luk Ka Country Club (map)designed by Rodger Packard and opened in 1994, is situated northeast of the city. While it may be made up of two shaded 18-hole Par 72 courses perfectly suited for those hot and humid days, it’s also blessed with lots of water, wide open fairways and big greens. However as deceptive as appearances seem, don’t be fooled, as both these courses require mental as well as physical dexterity and favour accuracy and precision over power play.

Lakewood Country Club ~ 4.0 Stars

Lakewood Country Club (map)situated just eighteen kilometres south-east of the city centre, is a J. Michael Poellet designed golf course that combines a breathtaking mix of native flora, imported turf and sculpted waterways. And Speaking of waterways, you’ll need nerves of steel to avoid the wet stuff, as twenty-two of the challenging twenty-seven holes features water hazards. As a result of the water, the course has probably more doglegs than any other course in Thailand. Other than that, it’s possibly the perfect environment for golfers of all levels.
