I was listening to the Pattaya Weather Forecast this morning and it predicts it’s going to be another beautiful bright blue day at the coast. The sun is out and your summer holiday is about to begin. You can just feel the excitement in the air already. Your winter clothes have long since been packed away and it’s time now to head on down to the beach with your suntan lotion, those crazy cool looking sunglasses and very little else.
Don’t forget to first stop at the local 7-Eleven for a bottle of ice water and one of those small scented towelling cloths. You will find them in the fridge. It’s best to get a cold one. They can be mighty welcome when things get a tad hot and you need to wipe sweat from your forehead or the back of your neck.
I always buy a couple at a time. You never know when you may need one. The only downside is that once you open the cellophane bag, the bag often tears. They need to come up with a resealable unit. Nevertheless, I highly recommend them no matter where you might be in Thailand. It can get extremely hot at the very best of times and especially on the beach.
Whatever the Weather
As far as the day goes, Pattaya is always hot all year round so if you are doing a spot of shopping amongst the market stalls, you can cool off in one of the air-conditioned plazas along the way. I do it all the time. It’s a welcome relief.
The best Pattaya weather is during the months between November and February. It’s a little cooler then, but the humidity is still fairly high. The worst scenario would be during the months of April until July when it gets much hotter. Be on the lookout for water-pistol shooting tourists.
From August through to October there is some light relief when the rainy season starts. Normally this is for a few hours at a time until the sun reappears again. Evenings can be quite pleasant when the temperature drops a little. You can wander around in light clothing while visiting all the clubs and bars.
Long cotton trousers or skirts can be worn if you feel like dressing up a bit to go to one of the fabulous shows or the excellent restaurants that are aplenty. Whatever the weather, you are sure to have a great time.
