A Special Place where Fantasy and Adventure await the Whole Family

Dream World Theme Park in Bangkok

Dream World Bangkok

If you’re looking for an exciting adventure filled with fantasy, as well as an entertainment playground the whole family will absolutely love, then the Dream World Theme park in Bangkok could just be a dream come true for you and your kids. It might not live up to the same exacting standards as the Disney World Theme Park in the United States.

However, as far as amusement parks go, this park is a wonderful place in which kids and adults of all ages will absolutely enjoy. The venue is located just north of Bangkok in the district of Pathum Thani.

Young kids will want to explore the park all day going from one kiddie ride to another. Older children will want to go from one roller coaster ride to another. Adults may also want to participate in some of the rides, but their main function may be to provide enough support while their kids have fun. More than that, adults need to provide the cash to cover not only the entrance fees, but also all the entertainment. Here’s hoping you have deep pockets because you’re going to need them.

A roller coaster ride called Sky Coaster will have your hair flying in all directions as you travel through the air. For a multitude of somersaults and flips you have to try the Hurricane and then there’s one called the Viking that will swing you round and around. A boat ride called Super Splash will definitely get you all wet and a river ride called Grand Canyon will take you on a trip down the rapids.

The Best Rides

For more great rides you can try the Bumper Boat and for traditionalists, there are the all too common Bumper Cars and Go Karts. And just like a traditional fairground attraction, there are lots of games to play with opportunities to win all sorts of grand prizes, typical of most theme parks around the world. Yes, you may have guessed it! That means lots and lots of those super soft stuffed toys.

Because there is so much to see and do at the Dream World theme park, it’s virtually impossible to know just where to begin your day out. So it’s best to take a deep breath and then start your tour by taking a ride in the cable car. This will ultimately give you an excellent bird’s eye view of the whole park and from high up there you’ll be able to get a good idea of where your next move might be.

The Old Lady Shoe House

Indoor Playground

If you and the kids are coming from a place that produces little or no snow, then a great place to go is the Snow Land indoor playground. Everyone can use their creative skills to build a snowman or anything else that captures the imagination. While older children might want to go snowboarding down an artificial hill, younger kids may want to take a ride with Santa Claus and his reindeer. And I’m sure we’ll all be tempted to throw a few snowballs at each other.

Though it can be as hot as hell outside, it’s a heck of a lot colder inside with the temperature set at around minus three degrees compared with the temperature outside at around thirty degrees plus.

Now just because you were probably ill-prepared for these snowy conditions, appropriate clothing such as Wellington boots and parka jackets are provided. However, gloves are not on their menu which can make it a little tricky when trying to throw a few snowballs around.

If you are lucky enough, there is a very good chance that you could experience your first ever snowfall and at the same time, catch a couple of snowflakes as they descend down from above. Other than that you can wander around the place taking photos of yourself and the kids in front of the likes of polar bears and penguins even if they are not real. You’d have a big problem if they were.

Outdoor Playgrounds

The Dream World Theme Park is basically divided into four main zones with each one having its own unique attractions. All of which include everything from thrill rides to carnival games, haunted mansions, action shows, water slides, fantasy gardens and a whole lot more.

Adventure Land is a theme park for the more adventurous person. Here you can indulge in a number of thrilling roller coaster rides, bumper car rides, bumper boat rides, water rides, swing boat rides, crazy bus rides, antique car rides and others too numerous to mention. You can visit an indoor snow playground, venture into a haunted mansion or go and watch a Hollywood-type action show.

Fantasy Land is a theme park where all the little ones can explore and really enjoy. Why! Because it’s full of all their favourite Disney caricatures of both mystical and physical animals. It’s also a land filled with children’s fairy tales from around the world.

What could possibly be better than seeing the Shoe House, where the old lady lived. Or the castle where Sleeping Beauty slept. Or the house where Jack built his beanstalk. Or where the gingerbread man lived. Or the farm where Uncle Tom lived. There’s just so much going on here.

Outdoor Playgrounds

Dream World Garden is not only a place full of charisma and artistic beauty because of its carefully manicured garden, but also because it is a special place where lovers can relax in a serene setting. Close by are re-creations of some of the most renowned architectural wonders of the world such as the Great Wall of China, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Stonehenge in England, the Taj Mahal in India, the Pyramid in Egypt, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Dream World Plaza is the main entrance to the park and is filled with miniature fantasy-themed structures such as shops, homes and other buildings from around the world. Many of which are from European countries like Germany, Belgium, Spain, France and the Netherlands.
